On November 16, 2024, Erika Grimaldi will star with tenor Gregory Kunde in the PUCCINI 100—Anniversary Concert at the Teatru Asta un Gozo, Malta. The event, which celebrates the centenary of the Tuscan composer, is organized by The Classique Foundation, whose artistic director and founder, Joseph Debrincat, will lead the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. The two singers will perform some of the most beloved arias and duets of the Lucca-born composer.
Just this year, Erika Grimaldi has added two major Puccini operas to her repertoire, Manon Lescaut (new productions at the Teatro Comunale Bologna and Teatro Regio Torino, both season inaugurations) and Tosca for her debuts at the Ópera de las Palmas, Teatro Regio Parma, and Festival Puccini di Torre del Lago, to invariable rave reviews. The Las Palmas and Parma audience rapturously requested encores of “Vissi d’arte”, which Ms. Grimaldi granted.
