ETIENNE DUPUIS IN DON CARLO AT PARIS OPERA

On October 25, Etienne Dupuis will return to the stage of the Paris Opera, reprising the role of Rodrigo, Marchese di Posa in a Krzysztof Warlikowski production of Don Carlo conducted by Fabio Luisi alongside Roberto Alagna, René Pape, Aleksandra Kurzak, Anita Rachvelishvili and Vitalij Kowaljow in the other leading roles. This will be the first of a total of 10 performances running through 23 November. Nicole Car and Michael Fabiano will join him as Elisabetta / Don Carlo from 14 November onward.

The part of Rodrigo is no stranger to Etienne, having performed it at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 2018, 2017 and for his role debut in 2015. Other Verdi roles embodied on stage in recent years are Giorgo Germont in La traviata and Renato in Un ballo in maschera.

Following this Don Carlo at the Opéra Bastille, Etienne will sing Christmas concerts and Fauré’s Requiem with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Albert in Werther at the Metropolitan Opera, Athanaël in Thaïs at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and the title role of Eugene Onegin at the Sydney Opera House. In June, he will add a new Verdi role to his repertoire, Don Carlo di Vargas in La forza del destino at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
