On June 13, 2023, Frédéric Chaslin conducts opera legend Plácido Domingo and the Orchestra Sinfonica Gioachino Rossini in a concert at Victoria Hall in Geneva, the other soloists being soprano Varduhi Khachatryan and tenor Hovhannes Ayvazyan. The program, which is dedicated to Maria Callas 100 years after her birth, includes arias, duets, and orchestral music from some of the most popular operas by Rossini, Verdi, Cilea, Mascagni, Giordano, and Puccini.
On June 23, the Bucharest National Opera is staging a production of Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande in a new re-orchestration by Frédéric Chaslin, a project very dear to the French conductor, composer, pianist, and author.
