On April 14 and 18, 2022, George Gagnidze will sing the role of Giorgio Germont in La traviata at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, in a production by Götz Friedrich and under the musical direction of Marie Jacquot. He will perform alongside Mané Galoyan as Violetta Valéry and Attilio Glaser as Alfredo Germont.

The Georgian-German baritone has sung the role of Germont père on the most prestigious international stages such as the Teatro alla Scala Milan, Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, Opéra National de Paris, Arena of Verona and Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona. His numerous Deutsche Oper roles include the titles part of Rigoletto and Nabucco, Carlo Gérard in Andrea Chénier, Barnaba in La Gioconda and Scarpia in Tosca.
