On November 24, 2024, George Gagnidze will return to the Staatsoper Hamburg as Miller in an Andreas Homoki production of Luisa Miller under the musical direction of Lorenzo Passerini. He will share the stage with Selene Zanetti in the title role, Giorgio Berrugi as Rodolfo, Adam Palka as Conte di Walter, and Brindley Sherrat as Wurm. Other performances will occur on November 28, 30 and December 4.

This is George Gagnidze’s second outing as Miller, as he debuted this role early in his career in Valencia, led by Lorin Maazel. In May, he reprise it in a concert performance with the Washington Concert Opera.

The Georgian baritone has already been acclaimed at the Staatsoper Hamburg as Rigoletto, Simon Boccanegra, Iago in Otello, Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana, and Tonio in Pagliacci.
