On November 16, 2024, in the Hauptkirche St. Jacobi, Hamburg, Irina Lungu will be the soprano soloist in Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem. Gerhard Löffler will lead the Hamburger Camerata, Ensemble Reflektor, Kantorei St. Jacobi, Arp-Schnitger-Ensemble
Bergedorfer Kammerchor, and Mädchenchor Hamburg. The other soloists are tenor Nicky Spence and bariton Krešimir Stražanac.

Irina Lungu received rave reviews on the occasion of her debut in Britten’s masterpiece, which occurred last June when she toured four German cities (Stuttgart, Freiburg, Dortmund, and Hamburg itself) with the SWR Symphonieorchester led by Teodor Currentzis.
