On November 1 and 6, 2021, Maria José Siri will sing the role of Abigaille in Nabucco, in a production by Günter Krämer and under the music direction of Maestro Paolo Carignani. She will sing alongside Amartuvshin Enkhbat in the title role, Roberto Tagliavini as Zaccaria, Freddie de Tommaso as Ismaele and  Szilvia Vörös as Fenena. The Uruguayan soprano, who has already performed Abigaille to rave reviews at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Teatro Petruzzelli Bari, last appeared at the Vienna State Opera as Leonora in Il trovatore for the inauguration of the 2017/2018 season, and had previously been applauded there as Tosca and Maddalena di Coigny in Andrea Chénier.
