MARIA JOSÉ SIRI IN LA FORZA DEL DESTINO IN BERLIN

On September 8, 2019, Maria José Siri will perform Leonora in the premiere of Frank Castorf’s new production of La forza del destino at the Deutsche Oper Berlin conducted by Jordi Bernàcer, the first of a series of six performances running through September 28.

Maria José Siri made her Deutsche Oper Berlin debut in 2014 in the title role of Tosca, a part she repeated at the same theatre in 2017. Other performances at Deutsche Oper Berlin include Maddalena in two runs of Andrea Chénier, the title roles of Madama Butterfly and of Manon Lescaut.

The Uruguayan soprano made her role debut as Leonora in La forza del destino in 2012 at the Cologne Opera House. Other Verdi roles of her broad repertoire include the title role of Aida, Odabella in Attila, Leonora in Il trovatore, Amelia in Un ballo in maschera, Elisabetta di Valois in both the French and Italian version of Don Carlo, Amelia Grimaldi in Simon Boccanegra and Desdemona in Otello.
