On July 14 Çedille Records releases Mark S. Doss’s latest CD entitled “Welcome To My World”. Accompanied by pianist Ken Smith, the American bass-baritone sings twenty-one selections including operatic arias, lieder, Neapolitan songs, excerpts from musicals, and spirituals, ranging from Baroque to living composers.

This album reflects the American’s bass-baritone extremely extensive operatic repertoire ranging from Handel to Mozart, Rossini, Berlioz, Gounod, Bizet, Boito, Leoncavallo all the way to 20th century and contemporary composers such as Weill, Dorsey, Gruenberg, Brodszky and Lovland, also including classic Neapolitan songs and art songs by some of the most influential 19th-century composers such as Beethoven, and Mussorgsky. In total, Mark S. Doss has performed over 100 roles on the world’s most prestigious stages, such as the Teatro alla Scala, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Berlin Staatsoper, Lyric Opera Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, to name but a few.

Meanwhile, a new CD recorded this summer with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra led by Metropolitan Opera conductor John Keenan will be released next year.
