NICOLE CAR AS TATYANA IN EVGENIJ ONEGIN IN MONTRÉAL

On September 14, 2019, Nicole Car will inaugurate the 2019/2020 season of the Opéra de Montréal as Tatyana in Evgenij Onegin, in a Tomer Zvulun production under the musical direction of Guillaume Tourniaire, the first of a series of four performances running through September 22, 2019. The production will mark Nicole’s Canadian operatic debut. She will share the stage with Etienne Dupuis in the title role, Owen McCausland as Lenskij and Denis Sedov as Prince Gremin, Carolyn Sproule as Olga, Stefania Toczyska as Filipievna, Christianne Belanger as Larina, Spencer Britten as Triquet, Jean-Philippe Mc Clish as Capitaine, Brenden Friesen as Zaretskic and Simon Chaussé as M. Guillot.

Tatyana is one of Nicole Car’s most performed roles, having already sung it for prestigious opera companies such as the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Paris Opera, the Bavarian State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Opera Australia Sydney.

After this Montreal Evgenij Onegin, Nicole Car’s upcoming engagements include her role debut as Elisabetta di Valois in Don Carlo at the Opéra Bastille Paris, a Christmas gala concert at the Maison Symphonique de Montréal, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the Metropolitan Opera New York, the title role in Thais at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Mimì in La bohème at the ROH, Covent Garden London, and Tatyana for Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House.
