Riccardo Massi as Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Palm Beach Opera

On January 26 and 28, 2018 Riccardo Massi will sing Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Palm Beach Opera. The production is by Fenlon Lamb and Maestro David Stern will conduct. He will share the stage with Keri Alkema in the title role and Michael Chioldi as Scarpia.

Cavaradossi is one of Riccardo Massi’s most performed roles, having already sung it at the Bavarian State Opera, Berlin State Opera, Opera Australia in Sydney and at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London alongside Angela Gheorgiu and under the musical direction of Plácido Domingo. This current season he is particularly busy bringing his highly acclaimed interpretation of the revolutionary Roman painter to opera stages all throughout the world: after singing it with the KBS Symphony Orchestra at the Ansan Arts Center in Seoul last November, he will next reprise the part at the Royal Opera House conducted by Plácido Domingo, and will make his debut at the Hamburg State Opera, where he will be once again partnered by Ms Gheorghiu. He made his Palm Beach Opera debut in the same role in 2011.

Other performances of the remaining 2017/2018 season include Radamès in a new production of Aida at the Sydney Opera House and at the Teatro Colón Buenos Aires.
