RICCARDO MASSI AS DES GRIEUX AT THE BOLSHOI THEATRE

On November 8 and 10, 2018 Riccardo Massi will return to the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as Renato Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut in a production by Adolf Shapiro and under the musical direction of Maestro Anton Grishanin. He will sing alongside Ainhoa Arteta in the title role, Dalibor Jenis as Lescaut and Vyacheslav Pochapsky as Geronte De Ravoir.

This marks Riccardo Massi’s third participation to the Adolf Shapiro production, having starred in it in the 2016/2017 season when it was first unveiled, as well as in the following season. The Italian singer also interpreted the role of the Puccini hero in a new production at the Berlin State Opera during the 2016/2017 season.

After this Moscow Manon Lescaut, Riccardo Massi’s 2018/2019 season includes Calaf in Turandot at the Teatro Degollado de Guadalajara, Mexico, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the National Theatre Mannheim and at the Bavarian State Opera Munich, Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Washington National Opera and the Semperoper Dresden, and Pollione in Norma at the Bavarian State Opera Munich.
