RICCARDO MASSI AS RADAMÈS IN AIDA AT THE MIKHAILOVSKY THEATRE ST. PETERSBURG

On November 25, 2019 Riccardo Massi will sing the role of Radamès in Aida at the Mikhailovsky Theatre St Petersburg, in a production by Igor Ushakov and under the musical direction of Maestro Alexander Vedernikov, the first of a series of three performances running through November 29, 2019. He will sing alongside Tatiana Melnychenko in the title role, Olesya Petrova as Amneris, Kiril Manolov and Amonasro and Barseg Tumanyan as Ramfis.

This is Riccardo Massi’s Mikhailovsky Theatre debut, which was however preceded by an appearance as a guest star in the world-famous Digital Gala Concert earlier this month. Radamès is one of the Italian tenor’s most beloved and performed parts, having it already sung it to rave reviews in some of the most prominent international opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera New York (two runs), the Sydney Opera House, the Teatro Regio Turin, the Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Houston Grand Opera and the Hong-Kong Opera.

After this St Petersburg Aida, Riccardo Massi’s upcoming engagements include Manrico in Il trovatore and Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Bavarian State Opera Munich, his role debut as Zamoro in Alzira at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, Liège, and his Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa debut as Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut.
