Sonya Yoncheva welcomes the new musical year by starring in a Christmas concert with the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal de Versailles led by Stefan Plewniak in the Saanen church in Gstaad. The concert includes

Handels’s “Messiah” HWV 56 : “I Know That My Redeemer Liveth”, and “For unto us a child is born”; Gounod’s “Messe solennelle de Sainte Cécile : “Repentir” (O Divine Redeemer); Corelli’s “Concerto per la notte di Natale”, Op.6 N°8; Puccini’s “Sogno d’or”, Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana (Intermezzo and Ave Maria), Webber’s Requiem : “Pie Jesu”; Berlin’s “White Christmas”, Pachelbel’s “Canon””, Adam’s Cantique de Noel”, Mohr’s “Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht”, as well as two traditional songs “Joy to the World” and “Arru, Arrurrú”.
