On August 20, 2023, Sonya Yoncheva joins Jonas Kaufmann and Ludovic Tézier in Jonas Kaufmann in Opera-Arena 100, a spectacular gala concert conducted by Jochen Rieder where the three superstars will perform arias, duets, scenes, and songs from their multifaceted repertoires, from Verdi to Puccini, via operetta and the finest music from films.

Just earlier this month, at the Arena of Verona the Bulgarian soprano scored a resounding success with her internationally acclaimed portrayal of Floria Tosca. In previous seasons in Verona she had interpreted Violetta in La traviata and participated in several gala concerts.

Sonya Yoncheva ends this season and begins the next again with Tosca. First, she will perform the fiery Roman diva at the Gstaad Festival and Baden-Baden, and in September she will travel to Japan with the Rome Opera on tour, additionally performing a concert at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.
