Sonya Yoncheva is to embark in a mini-tour of concerts and recitals in Spain. On April 25, 2021, she will launch a series of recitals featuring her program “Ad una Stella” with a first concert taking place at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía of Valencia, accompanied on the piano by Malcolm Martineau. On April 29, the Bulgarian soprano will present for the first time in her career an evening of Zarzuela at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. Accompanied by the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid under the baton of Miguel Ortega, Sonya will perform music by Sorozábal, Torroba, Millán, Marqués, Gaztambide, Luna, Penella, Chapí and Roig. On May 15, she will join pianist Antoine Palloc at the ABAO Bilbao, with a program featuring music by Massenet, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Dvořák, Puccini and Bizet.
