On May 25, 2023, Pietari Inkinen returns to the Lotte Concert Hall Seoul to conduct the KBS Symphony Orchestra, of which he is the 9th music director, his tenure having started in January 2022.
The Finnish conductor leads a program entirely devoted to the music of Sergey Rachmaninoff, including his Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini Op. 43, with pianist Anna Vinnitskaya, and his Symphony No. 2 in e minor, Op. 27. The same program will be repeated the following day at the Gyechon Village.
These concerts will be Pietari Inkinen’s last engagements before he travels to the Bayreuth Festival to conduct Richard Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen this summer.
