One of today’s leading Verdi baritones returns to one of his defining roles as George Gagnidze takes on Macbeth in Genoa.

He appears at the Teatro Carlo Felice in a production by Fabio Ceresa conducted by Sesto Quatrini. The cast includes Jennifer Rowley (Lady Macbeth), Gianluca Buratto (Banco), and Riccardo Massi (Macduff).

The production opens May 15, with additional performances on May 17, 22, and 24.

George Gagnidze has earned international acclaim for his portrayal of Macbeth, including appearances at the Metropolitan Opera and the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
