ANNALISA STROPPA AS ADALGISA IN NORMA AT THE TEATRO SAN CARLO

On February 15, 2020, Annalisa Stroppa will sing the role of Adalgisa in Norma at the Teatro San Carlo Naples, in a production by Lorenzo Amato and under the musical direction of Maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa, the first of a series of four performances running through February 20, 2020. She will share the stage with María José Siri in the title role, Fabio Sartori as Pollione and Fabrizio Beggi as Oroveso.

Annalisa Stroppa, who made her Teatro San Carlo debut last season as Nicklausse in Les contes d’Hoffmann, has already interpreted the role of Adalgisa to high acclaim at the Teatro del Liceo Barcelona, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Bavarian State Opera Munich, Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa, Teatro Massimo Palermo, Teatro Verdi di Padova and Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden.

Upcoming engagements for the Brescia-born mezzo-soprano include Carmen at the Teatre Principal Palma de Majorca and the May Festival Wiesbaden, her role debut as Geltrude in Amleto at the Teatro Filarmonico Verona, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Bavarian State Opera, the Budapest Festival and the Savonlinna Festival and a concert at the Bregenz Festival.
