On November 1, 2019, Riccardo Massi will sing Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Semperoper Dresden in a production by Johannes Schaaf under the musical direction of Antonino Fogliani; an additional performance will take place on November 14, 2019. He will share the stage with Kristine Opolais in the title role and Andrzej Dobber as Scarpia.

Riccardo just comes back from New York, where he was heard in another Puccini role, as Calaf in acclaimed performances of Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera, earning critical praise for his “effortless top and nice coloring”. Cavaradossi is arguably Riccardo Massi’s most performed role, having already sung it to constant high acclaim in many of the most important opera houses and festivals worldwide. At the Semperoper Dresden, he performed Cavaradossi in 2015/16 and 2018/19 as well as earlier this season in September.
