On September 6, 2023, Étienne Dupuis will sing the role of Giorgio Germont in a concert performance of La traviata at the Wiener Konzerthaus, under the musical direction of Michelangelo Mazza leading the Philharmonie Baden-Baden. He will sing alongside Anna Netrebko as Violetta and Yusif Eyvazov as Alfredo.

The Quebecois baritone, who has already sung Germont at the Opéra de Marseille, continues his fall season with debuts in two major Verdi roles: Don Carlo di Vargas in La forza del destino at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, and the title role in Rigoletto at the Teatro Real Madrid.

The Viennese audience has already applauded him in a number of roles, such as Valentin in Faust, Eugene Onegin, Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Marcello in La bohème, and Albert in Werther.
