On September 25 and 26, 2020, George Gagnidze will sing the role of Barnaba in La Gioconda at the Deutsche Oper Berlin under the musical direction of Maestro Ivan Repusic. He will share the stage with Hui He in the title role, Joseph Calleja as Enzo Grimaldo, Judit Kutasi as Laura, Marko Mimica as Alvise Badoero and Beth Taylor as La Cieca.

Due to the Covid19 health crisis, the Deutsche Oper will present a wide selection of the opera in concert performance.

George Gagnidze made his debut as Barnaba in 2018 at the Deutsche Oper, an opera company where he has interpreted some of his most performed roles, including Rigoletto, Nabucco, Iago in Otello, Gérard in Andrea Chénier and Scarpia in Tosca.
