Irina Lungu will debut as the soprano soloist in Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem under the baton of Teodor Currentzis, leading the SWR Symphonieorchester. The seven-date tour will start on June 6 at the Liederhalle Stuttgart (with a repeat performance the following day), continue on June 9 and 10 at the Konzerthaus Freiburg, on June 12 at the Berlin Philharmonie, on June 13 at the Konzerthaus Dortmund, and conclude on June 16 at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. She will sing alongside tenor Allan Clayton and baritone Matthias Goerne.
