JACQUELYN WAGNER AS ARABELLA AT THE ZURICH OPERA

On March 7, 2020 Jacquelyn Wagner will sing the title role in a one-off performance of Arabella at the Zurich Opera, in a production by Robert Carsen and under the musical direction of Maestro Fabio Luisi. She will share the stage with Josef Wagner as Mandryka and Valentina Farcas as Zdenka.

Jacquelyn Wagner starred in the title role of Arabella in a new production at the De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam in the 2013/14 season, subsequently reprising it at the Minnesota Opera as well as at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf. The American soprano made her highly acclaimed Zurich Opera debut earlier this season as Agathe in Der Freischütz.

Jacquelyn Wagner’s upcoming engagements include Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the Opéra National de Paris, as well as Mahler’s Symphony N. 2 with the Wiener Symphoniker at the Musikverein Wien.
