JACQUELYN WAGNER AS HANDEL’S ALCINA IN DÜSSELDORF

On February 14, 2020, Jacquelyn Wagner will make her role debut as Alcina in Handel’s masterpiece, in a new production by Lotte de Beer and under the musical direction of Maestro Axel Kober, the first of a series of seven performances running through March 1, 2020. She will sing alongside Maria Kataeva as Ruggiero, Elena Sancho Pereg as Morgana and Wallis Giunta as Bradamante.

The American born soprano has already appeared for Deutsche Oper Am Rhein in highly acclaimed performances as Desdemona in Otello, The Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier and as Arabella. Jacquelyn Wagner’s upcoming engagements include Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the Opéra national de Paris and Mahler’s Symphony N.2 with the Wiener Symphoniker at the Vienna Musikverein.
