Etienne Dupuis takes on the role of Henri in Donizetti’s Lucie de Lammermoor, the 1839 French version of Lucia di Lammermoor, reworked by the composer himself.
Performances are on April 30, May 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 at the Opéra-Comique.
The production is conducted by Speranza Scappucci and directed by Evgeny Titov, with Sabine Devieilhe in the title role and Léo Vermot-Desroches as Edgard.
Appointed Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2021, Etienne Dupuis is a favorite with Paris audiences, who in recent seasons have applauded him at the Opéra Bastille as Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Rigoletto, and the Conte di Luna (Il trovatore), among many others.
