MARIA JOSÉ SIRI AS MADAMA BUTTERFLY IN OMAN

On January 17 Maria José Siri will make her debut at the Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman in the title role of Madama Butterfly in a staging by Joan Anton Rechi conducted by Marco Armiliato. Roberto Aronica will sing Pinkerton, Veronica Simeoni Suzuki and George Gagnidze Sharpless.

Maria José Siri triumphed in the same role at the 2016/17 season inauguration of the Teatro alla Scala and later performed Cio-Cio-San at the Vienna State Opera, the Bavarian State Opera and the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Upcoming performances of the 2018/19 season include a new production of Manon Lescaut at the Teatro alla Scala and the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Tosca at the Teatro Carlo Felice of Genoa, Nedda in Pagliacci at the Teatro San Carlo of Naples, Amelia in Un ballo in maschera at the Mai Festival of Wiesbaden, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at the Bregenz Festival, the title role of Suor Angelica and Giorgetta in Il tabarro (role debut) at the Florence Opera House.
