MARÍA JOSÉ SIRI AS NORMA AT THE TEATRO SAN CARLO

On February 12, 2020, María José Siri will sing the title role in Norma at the Teatro San Carlo Naples, in a production by Lorenzo Amato and under the musical direction of Maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa, the first of a series of four performances running through February 20, 2020. She will share the stage with Annalisa Stroppa as Adalgisa, Fabio Sartori as Pollione and Fabrizio Beggi as Oroveso.

This is María José Siri’s second outing as Norma, as she previously sang the role of the Druidic priestess at the 2016 Macerata Festival, a performance also released on Blu-Ray/DVD. The Uruguayan soprano is a beloved guest of the Teatro San Carlo, having already appeared to rave reviews on this historic stage as Suor Angelica, Manon Lescaut and Nedda in Pagliacci.

María José Siri’s upcoming engagements include her role debut as Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro Petruzzelli Bari, Aida in Las Palmas, Giorgetta in Il tabarro and her role debut as Anna in Le villi at the Teatro Filarmonico Verona, Manon Lescaut at the Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa and Tosca at the Teatro Colón Buenos Aires.
