PIETARI INKINEN | CONCERTS | TOKYO

Pietari Inkinen returns to the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, of which he is Chief Conductor, for three concerts in May. The first one, on May 19, takes place at the Sonic City Hall Tokyo and features a program including Jean Sibelius’s Finlandia, op. 26 and Symphony No. 2 in D Major op 43, as well as Ludwig van Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra op. 61 with soloist Tatsuki Narita.

The second concert takes place on May 20 at the Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall and features Jean Sibelius’s tone poem “Tapiola” op. 112 and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 op. 125 with soloists soprano Mari Moriya, alto Kaori Ikeda, tenor Naoki Miyasato and baritone Takaoki Onishi. The same program is repeated on May 21 at Suntory Hall.
