Riccardo Massi as Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden

On February 17, 2018 Riccardo Massi will return to the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London as Cavaradossi in Tosca, in a production by Jonathan Kent and under the musical direction of Plácido Domingo, the first of a series of three performances running through March 3, 2018, in which he will share the stage with Martina Serafin in the title role and Marco Vratogna as Scarpia.

Riccardo Massi just earned accolades for his Cavaradossi at the Palm Beach Opera, where according to the Palm Beach Daily Post he “cut a handsome romantic figure while pouring out amply-toned soaring lines and high notes to burn. His sustained high cries of Vittoria, the character’s gloating at hearing Napoleon has won the Battle of Marengo, was as thrilling as anything in opera can be. And his shaping of the famous E lucevan le stelle was authentic and right on the mark.”.
