RICCARDO MASSI SINGS PINKERTON IN MADAMA BUTTERLFY IN MUNICH

On April 5, 2019 Riccardo Massi will return to the Bavarian State Opera as B.F. Pinkerton in the Wolfe Busse staging of Madama  Butterfly, conducted by Daniele Callegari. The cast will also feature Ermonela Jaho in the title role and Annalisa Stroppa as Suzuki, among others. There will be two further performances, on April 7 and 12, 2019. The performance on April 12 will be conducted by Antonino Fogliani.

Massi comes to the Bavarian State Opera as Pinkerton after having sung the role in a very successful gala performance of Madama Butterfly in Mannheim in March 2019. The role has also taken him to the Tokyo New National Theatre and the Norwegian Opera.

Following this production, Massi will sing Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Washington National Opera and at the Dresden Semperoper before returning the Bavarian State Opera in July to sing Pollione in Norma.
