SONYA YONCHEVA IN A GALA CONCERT AT THE REGGIA DI CASERTA

On August 3, 2020, Sonya Yoncheva will star in the “Summertime” gala concert at the majestic Reggia di Caserta, part of the fifth edition of  the festival “Un’estate da re”, singing alongside tenor Vittorio Grigolo under the baton of Maestro Daniel Oren leading the Orchestra Filarmonica di Salerno.

The concert will feature music by Bizet, Puccini, Verdi and Donizetti, with the Bulgarian soprano performing the “Habanera” from Bizet’s Carmen, “Tacea la notte placida” from Verdi’s Il trovatore, “Un bel dì vedremo” from Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and “Sì mi chiamano Mimì” and “O soave fanciulla” from La bohème, as well as the Tosca Act I duet from the same composer.

Sonya Yoncheva has been busy this summer, kicking off her post-lockdown schedule with the prestigious Le Concert de Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower, televised all over the world. In Italy, she starred in the title role of La traviata at the Maggio Musicale of Florence and in an all-Puccini Gala concert in the composer’s hometown Lucca. Following this Gala in Caserta, Sonya will sing concerts at the Salzburg Festival and the Arena di Verona.
