On November 17, 2023, Sonya Yoncheva will sing Gustav Mahler’s "Rückert-Lieder" on the occasion of the Inauguration Concert of the 11th Grzegorz Fitelberg International Conducting Competition, with the Filharmonia Śląska conducted by Yaroslav Shemet. The Bulgarian soprano first performed Mahler’s otherworldly orchestral song cycle in 2022 with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal to huge acclaim.
